Factory rear-deck speakers fade over time and rarely do your music justice. The S-6903 is designed as a drop-in replacement for the 6×9″ locations used in many vehicle doors and rear shelves, so you can fit the biggest speaker in the S-Series range without cutting, drilling or major modification. It is one of the most rewarding ways to make your existing system sound noticeably better.
Three drivers for clearer sound
Unlike a 2-way coaxial, the S-6903 is a true 3-way tri-axial. A 2″ PEI dome mid-range sits alongside a 0.75″ silk dome tweeter with a SEL (Sound Expander Lens) ring, so vocals and detail come through more clearly while the highs stay crisp. Underneath, the large 6×9″ DDC-coated 2-layer paper cone reaches down to 45 Hz for deep, full mid-bass. The result is a rich, detailed sound from the same head unit and wiring.
The most power in the range
With 70W RMS per speaker and 210W peak, the S-6903 handles the most power of the S-Series coaxials, so it stays clean and composed as you turn it up. A large 20 oz magnet and an EFF (Efficient Flux Field) motor structure on a rigid tooled basket keep the design efficient and solid, while a double-pressed treated foam surround stands up to daily use. The speakers are supplied as a pair.
