Contacted Safe & Sound Essex as they were local and recommend in Facebook groups. Had them install Viper immobilisers in both our cars and a dash cam in one of them.

Great, fast and professional service. Would use again and highly recommend.

I recently had a Hikvision G40 dash camera installed by Safe & Sound on 9th of September 2026. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
When I purchased the camera, I specifically paid for two 128GB memory cards. However, when I checked the camera a few days later, I discovered that two 64GB cards had been installed instead, without informing me. I also found that the locking screw for the memory card cover was missing, and the required CCTV warning sticker/sign had not been installed.
I raised a complaint on 14th of September and was told that an engineer would attend between 09:00 - 10:00 on 16th of September 2026. The engineer did not arrive. After further discussion and considerable inconvenience, a representative from the camera supply company attended the following day and installed the correct memory cards.
If I had not checked the camera myself, I could have gone months or even years without knowing that I had paid for 128GB cards but received 64GB cards. In my view, this was extremely irresponsible and unprofessional.
I am aware that many customers have left 5-star reviews, but I can only review my own experience. Unfortunately, based on what happened to me, I am giving Safe & Sound 1 star and I would not use amd recommend their services again.

First time using Safe and Sound Essex and I’m really pleased with the service. I had a new Kenwood touchscreen head unit with wireless Android Auto and a reversing camera fitted.

Communication was prompt, friendly and helpful from my initial enquiry, when I asked for recommendations and different equipment options and prices, right through to the installation. Everything was fitted neatly and professionally, and I was shown how everything worked. The installer also helped me make sure my phone was connected before leaving site.

Disgusting service and experience and not worth of what i pay.

I'm absolutely disgusted by service provided safe and sound Essex. I bought my own android carplay build in reverse camera use installation service which cost £180. I drop off my car and when I pick up the back camera was not fitted, just informing that my back is not working.
I ask them what's going happen, they told that I can get replace new camera and will be fitted might cost extra speak to Lee. I got replacement new camera called them receptionist told someone will call. They never call I have call few time more eventually after 3rd time some call me. I explained that what happened they need to finished installation I got replacement reverse camera.
The person on the other end of the phone, the way he spoke to me is disgusting. Now I need to pay further £90. I said i have already paid £180, I'm not expecting another £90. He said your camera faulty that no my problem. He ask what job I do and he compare to my job, what happened there. I told him you cannot compare with that.
Now I can understand camera was faulty but I have already pay £180 for fitting, I was hoping may be £20 or £30 extra for work but he want charge £90.
At the I end call cost I can't really time to talking with this unprofessional people, and dont know how to speak to a paying customer.
Now at end it wasn't that difficult, so I have finish installation by myself.
My advice if got you own carplay find different installer. I wouldn't recommend.
