£229.99
- Big, loud pro-audio sound in a simple coaxial — the PBX-PRO8CD 8in horn coaxials deliver crisp, high-output sound without a separates build

- Compression horn tweeter built in — a 1in aluminium compression horn sits inside the mid for far-reaching pro-audio highs
- Stronger mid-bass than the 6.5in thanks to the larger 8in cone, a 20.2oz motor and a butyl rubber surround
- Grilles included and sold as a pair, so they go straight in with no separate tweeter or crossover to mount
- Supplied and professionally fitted by Safe and Sound, with over 30 years of car audio and installation experience
Pro-audio sound, the easy way. The PBX-PRO8CD 8in compression horn coaxials deliver the loud, crisp output of a pro-audio build in a simple coaxial that drops straight in, and at Safe and Sound we have been building and fitting pro-audio systems like this for over 30 years.
Pro-audio sound without the build
A full pro-audio front stage usually means separate mids, horn tweeters and crossovers. The PBX-PRO8CD gives you a big slice of that sound in a single 8in coaxial. A 1in aluminium compression horn tweeter sits right inside the mid, delivering the loud, piercing highs pro-audio fans love, with none of the separate mounting and wiring of a component set.
Loud, efficient and full
With a very high 102dB sensitivity and a wide 75Hz to 20kHz frequency range, the PBX-PRO8CD goes loud and sounds full even before you add a big amplifier. A Hybrid Carbon/DDC treated paper cone and butyl rubber surround give it stronger mid-bass than the smaller 6.5in model, so it carries more weight and body in everyday listening as well as in a show build.
Simple to fit, grilles included
Because everything is built into one coaxial, the PBX-PRO8CD is far simpler to install than a separates system. It is sold as a pair and comes with grilles, so there is no separate tweeter, crossover or grille to source. Just fit, wire and go.
