PBX-PRO6CD 6.5in Pro Horn Coaxial Speakers | Safe and Sound

Pro-audio sound, the easy way. The PBX-PRO6CD 6.5in compression horn coaxials deliver the loud, crisp highs of a pro-audio build in a simple coaxial that drops straight in, and at Safe and Sound we have been building and fitting pro-audio systems like this for over 30 years.

Pro-audio sound without the build

A full pro-audio front stage usually means separate mids, horn tweeters and crossovers. The PBX-PRO6CD gives you a big slice of that sound in a single coaxial speaker. A 1in aluminium compression horn tweeter sits right inside the mid, delivering the loud, piercing highs pro-audio fans love, with none of the separate mounting and wiring of a component set.

Loud, and fuller than a pure SPL mid

Rated at 150W RMS (300W max) with an efficient 4-ohm design, the PBX-PRO6CD goes loud and stays composed. Unlike a bare SPL mid driver, it uses a treated pressed paper cone and a butyl rubber surround for enhanced mid-bass and a warmer, fuller sound, so it works well as a high-output everyday speaker as well as in a show build.

Simple to fit, grilles included

Because everything is built into one coaxial, the PBX-PRO6CD is far simpler to install than a separates system. It is sold as a pair and comes with custom grilles, so there is no separate tweeter, crossover or grille to source. Just fit, wire and go.
