What a pro-audio midrange does
Unlike a normal coaxial, a pro-audio midrange like the PBX-PRO65T is built to throw clear, loud vocals and instruments forward at high volume. It is the driver of choice for “wall of sound” door builds and demo cars, where presence and efficiency matter more than deep bass. This is a midrange driver, so it is designed to be paired with a tweeter and run from an amplifier.
Thin-mount design for tight spaces
The big advantage of the PBX-PRO65T is its thin-mount build, which lets you get genuine pro-audio sound into doors and custom pods that could not take a deeper pro driver. That makes it a flexible choice whether you are building a full pro-audio front stage or adding midrange punch to an existing system.
Built to be driven hard
This driver is made for power. A 19oz magnet, a 1.5in KSV voice coil and an accordion cloth surround keep it composed and low in distortion when pushed, while chrome push terminals accept heavy-gauge speaker wire for maximum current transfer. An acoustic phase plug helps with clean, wide dispersion of the high mids.
