SWX-8G 8in Steel Mesh Subwoofer Grille | Safe and Sound

Protect the sub you worked hard to fit. The SWX-8G steel mesh subwoofer grille from PowerBass is the simple, good-looking way to guard your 8in subwoofer from everyday knocks and stray cargo, and at Safe and Sound we have been fitting and finishing car audio installs like this for over 30 years.

Cheap insurance for an expensive subwoofer

A subwoofer cone is one of the most exposed parts of any boot install. A single dropped toolbox, a shifting shopping bag or a curious passenger can leave you with a torn surround or a dented cone. The SWX-8G steel mesh subwoofer grille puts a tough barrier between your sub and the real world, so your bass keeps hitting the way it should.

A clean, factory-finished look

Beyond protection, this grille smartens up the whole install. Its one-piece uni-body design gives a neat, purposeful finish to a custom sub box or boot build, while the corrosion-resistant black coating stays looking sharp through dust, damp and day-to-day use.

Fits in seconds, no extra hardware

There is nothing fiddly here. The SWX-8G mounts using the subwoofer’s own supplied beauty ring to hold it securely in place, so there are no extra brackets, screws or drilling involved. It is designed for PowerBass 3XL, 2XL and PBX-1 Series 8in subwoofers, including the 3XL-810D and 3XL-820D.
