The S7 Tracker Monitor operates using patented military-grade VHF (Very High Frequency) technology that sets it apart from conventional GPS trackers. When installed by Thatcham-approved mobile engineers, the S7 Tracker Monitor remains in a passive state until it detects unauthorised vehicle movement through its built-in motion sensors. Unlike standard GPS/GSM trackers, the S7’s VHF technology is completely immune to signal jamming attempts and can transmit effectively even when the vehicle is hidden in challenging environments like underground parking structures or metal shipping containers.
Upon detecting potential theft (movement without ignition), the system activates its core security feature – a silent VHF signal emission that can be detected by police units equipped with compatible receivers. This covert signal continues broadcasting the vehicle’s location without alerting the thieves, allowing law enforcement to track and recover the vehicle directly. The system also integrates with a mobile controller that provides real-time or delayed alerts to the owner, while maintaining its primary advantage of reliable tracking through VHF technology even in scenarios where traditional GPS signals would be blocked or jammed.
