A simple drop-in upgrade

Factory speakers fade over time and rarely do your music justice. The S-4002 is designed as a drop-in replacement for most standard 4″ speaker locations, so you can upgrade the sound without cutting, drilling or major modification. It is one of the most cost-effective ways to make your existing system sound noticeably better.

Smooth highs and a fuller low end

The S-4002 is a true 2-way coaxial. A 0.75″ pure silk dome tweeter with a neodymium magnet and SEL (Sound Expander Lens) ring gives smooth, refined high frequencies, while the 4″ DDC-coated 2-layer paper cone reaches down to 70 Hz for a warmer, fuller mid-bass than smaller drivers can manage. The result is a clear, balanced sound from the same head unit and wiring.

Built to fit and to last

A shallow 1.8″ mounting depth helps the S-4002 fit neatly into the dash and door openings that 4″ speakers usually live in, across a wide range of vehicles. An EFF (Efficient Flux Field) motor structure with a 6 oz magnet and a rigid tooled basket keeps the design efficient and solid, while a double-pressed treated foam surround stands up to daily use. The speakers are supplied as a pair.
