Safe and Sound supplies the Moving Intelligence MI01 Sentry, a battery-powered Thatcham S7 recovery tracker designed to help locate caravans, trailers and other valuable assets following theft. Its fully wireless design allows the compact unit to be concealed without connecting it to the asset’s main battery.

The MI01 combines GPS, GSM mobile-network positioning and long-range radio frequency technology. This multi-signal approach helps the specialist recovery team locate an asset in situations where a conventional GPS signal may be weak or unavailable.

MI01 Sentry Asset Recovery Protection

The Moving Intelligence MI01 Sentry is designed primarily as a post-theft recovery system rather than a conventional continuously updating live tracker. Under its standard setting, the device wakes and sends a recorded position once every 24 hours before returning to a low-power sleep mode.

If the asset is reported stolen, the monitoring team can increase the reporting frequency to support tracking and recovery. The low-transmission operating cycle also helps the concealed device remain more difficult for thieves to detect or interfere with.

Up to Five Years of Battery-Powered Protection

The tracker contains its own internal battery, allowing it to operate independently from the caravan, trailer or equipment it protects. This means it does not draw power from the asset’s starter or leisure battery.

The internal battery is designed to provide at least five years of operation when the unit sends one position per day using its default setting. The battery is not replaceable, so the complete device should be replaced when it reaches the end of its service life.

GPS, GSM and RF Recovery Technology

A stolen asset may be placed inside a building, garage, van or metal container where a standard satellite signal is more difficult to receive. The MI01 addresses this by combining several positioning technologies within one discreet unit.

You can access recorded location information through the Moving Intelligence MIApp and online platform. The standard daily check-in lets you confirm that the tracker is operating and view its latest reported position.

A Lock Position can be set around the stored asset. If the asset leaves that position, a notification can be generated when the tracker next completes its scheduled check-in. Because the MI01 normally reports once per day, this should not be described as an instant movement-alert system.
