Safe and Sound supplies and professionally installs the Thinkware F200 Pro, an F200 front and rear dash cam designed for vans, trucks and commercial vehicles. Full HD recording at both ends of the vehicle helps preserve clear video evidence, while the waterproof exterior rear camera is suitable for vehicles where a conventional internal rear camera cannot obtain a useful view.
The system records automatically whenever the vehicle is being driven. Built-in Wi-Fi allows recordings to be viewed and downloaded through a compatible smartphone, while several parking surveillance modes can continue monitoring the vehicle after the ignition has been switched off.
F200 Front and Rear Commercial Vehicle Recording
The Thinkware F200 Pro records in Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution from both the front and rear cameras. This provides a detailed record of vehicle movements, road conditions and incidents occurring at either end of a van, truck or other compatible commercial vehicle.
The front camera has a wide 140-degree diagonal viewing angle, while the exterior rear camera provides a broader 160-degree diagonal view. Together, they help reduce blind areas and provide greater coverage than a front-facing dash cam alone.
- Full HD front recording: Captures the road ahead at 1920 x 1080 resolution
- Full HD rear recording: Records activity behind the vehicle at 1920 x 1080 resolution
- Wide front view: Covers 140 degrees diagonally
- Wide rear view: Covers 160 degrees diagonally
- Two-channel evidence: Provides useful footage from both ends of the vehicle
Waterproof Exterior Rear Camera
The included rear camera is designed to be installed externally. This makes the system particularly suitable for panel vans, trucks, pickups, motorhomes and commercial vehicles without a clear rear window.
Placing the camera outside the vehicle gives it an unobstructed view behind the bodywork. It can capture approaching traffic, rear-end collisions and activity around the back of the vehicle while driving or parked.
The rear camera is a recording camera rather than a reversing-camera system. It does not automatically display a live reversing image on the vehicle’s factory screen.
Built-In Wi-Fi and Smartphone Access
Built-in Wi-Fi allows a compatible Android or Apple smartphone to connect directly to the F200 Pro. The Thinkware Dash Cam Link app provides convenient access to recordings and camera settings while you are close to the vehicle.
Using the app, you can:
- View the camera image during setup
- Play back front and rear recordings
- Download important clips to your smartphone
- Adjust recording and impact-sensitivity settings
- Manage parking-surveillance preferences
The Wi-Fi connection provides local access when you are near the vehicle. It is not a remote cloud connection and does not allow live viewing from another location.
Parking Surveillance for Vans and Trucks
When connected through a suitable hardwire or compatible OBD II power installation, the F200 Pro can continue monitoring the vehicle after the ignition has been switched off.
This can be particularly useful for commercial vehicles left at depots, worksites, customer premises or public parking areas. Available parking functions include:
- Motion detection: Records activity detected around the parked vehicle
- Impact detection: Saves footage when the built-in G-sensor detects a collision
- Time Lapse: Records at two frames per second for extended parking coverage
- Energy Saving Mode: Places the camera into a low-power state until an impact is detected
- Vehicle battery protection: Shuts the camera down if the supply voltage reaches the configured limit
Parking recording time varies according to the vehicle battery, selected parking mode, camera settings and how long the vehicle remains unused.
Super Night Vision and Wide Dynamic Range
Super Night Vision improves image brightness and reduces noise while the dash cam is operating in parking surveillance mode. This helps retain more useful detail around vehicles parked in poorly lit roads, yards and depots.
Wide Dynamic Range balances bright and dark areas when lighting changes suddenly, such as when leaving a tunnel or driving towards strong sunlight. Automatic exposure adjustment also helps the camera respond to headlights, shadows and difficult road conditions.
Automatic Incident File Protection
A built-in three-axis G-sensor detects significant impacts while driving or parked. When an incident is detected, the relevant recording is stored separately from normal continuous footage.
This makes important clips easier to locate and helps prevent them from being overwritten during normal loop recording. Manual recording can also be activated when the driver wants to preserve a particular event.
Optional GPS and Driver Assistance Features
An optional Thinkware GPS accessory can add location, speed and route information to recorded footage. It can also enable supported safety-camera alerts and Advanced Driver Assistance System functions.
Available driver reminders may include lane-departure, forward-collision and front-vehicle-departure warnings. These functions are driving aids only and do not replace proper observation or safe driving.
Suitable for 12V and 24V Vehicles
The Thinkware F200 Pro supports both 12-volt and 24-volt vehicle electrical systems. This makes it suitable for a wide range of cars, vans, trucks, motorhomes and specialist commercial vehicles, subject to installation compatibility.
The exterior rear camera cable must be routed securely through the vehicle and positioned where it has a clear view without interfering with doors, loading equipment or other vehicle components.

Who Is the F200 Pro Suitable For?
The F200 Pro is suited to van drivers, truck operators, tradespeople, delivery companies and fleet managers who need video evidence from the front and rear of a commercial vehicle.
Its exterior rear camera makes it especially useful for panel vans and vehicles where solid rear doors or cargo areas prevent an internal camera from recording clearly through the back of the vehicle.
Professional F200 Installation
Professional installation ensures the front camera is positioned correctly, the exterior rear camera is securely mounted and all cables are routed safely around the vehicle.
Safe and Sound can complete the required 12V or 24V connection, activate parking surveillance where suitable and check both camera views, recording functions and smartphone access before handover.
