C8 Dash Cam | 4K Front & Rear | Safe and Sound

Safe and Sound supplies and installs the Hikvision C8 front and rear dash cam, giving drivers detailed 4K front recording, rear camera coverage and useful journey information in one discreet system. Designed for everyday motorists, business drivers and fleet vehicles, it helps preserve clear video evidence from both the front and rear of your vehicle.

The C8 begins recording automatically when it receives power. Footage is stored on the included 128GB microSD card, while loop recording allows older standard files to be replaced when storage becomes full.

C8 Front and Rear Recording

The Hikvision C8 provides up to 4K Ultra HD recording from its main camera, helping capture useful details such as road positioning, vehicle movements and registration plates when conditions allow.

The accompanying rear camera adds coverage behind the vehicle, giving you a more complete record of incidents than a front-only dash cam. This can be particularly useful during rear-end collisions, parking disputes and situations where another vehicle approaches from behind.

• Up to 2160p front recording: Captures detailed footage of the road ahead
• Front and rear coverage: Records activity from both ends of the vehicle
• Wide field of view: Covers 118° horizontally and 143° diagonally
• Automatic recording: Starts recording when the camera receives vehicle power
• Loop recording: Replaces older standard recordings as the memory card fills

Clearer Footage in Low-Light Conditions

The C8 uses an F1.75 large-aperture lens to collect more available light. This supports clearer footage when driving after dark, in poorly lit streets or during difficult weather conditions.

Recording quality will always depend on factors such as lighting, weather, windscreen condition and camera position, but the large-aperture design helps the dash cam retain useful detail in challenging conditions.

Built-In GPS and Journey Information

Integrated GPS allows the C8 to record useful journey information alongside its video footage. Depending on the selected settings, recordings can include vehicle speed information and route data.

This can help provide additional context following an incident by showing where the vehicle travelled and how the journey progressed.

• Built-in GPS positioning
• Route recording and journey playback
• Optional speed information on recordings
• Useful supporting information for incident reviews

Wi-Fi App Access

The Hikvision C8 includes built-in Wi-Fi, allowing a compatible smartphone to connect directly to the dash cam. Through the Hikvision dash cam app, you can view footage, play back recordings and adjust camera settings without removing the memory card.

The Wi-Fi connection is intended for local access while you are close to the vehicle. It is not a mobile-data or remote cloud connection.

Voice Control and Driver Assistance Reminders

Supported voice commands allow selected functions to be controlled without reaching for the camera. This can help reduce distraction when saving a snapshot or managing recording functions.

The C8 also includes Advanced Driver Assistance System functions. Available reminders include traffic-light changes, recognised speed limits and notification when the vehicle ahead begins moving.

These features are driving aids only. They do not replace observation, safe driving or compliance with road signs and traffic conditions.

Automatic Incident File Protection

A built-in G-sensor detects significant impact or vibration. When an event is detected, the relevant recording can be marked as an emergency file and protected from normal loop-recording deletion.

This helps preserve important footage following a collision or sudden incident. Sensitivity can be adjusted to suit the vehicle and reduce unnecessary emergency recordings.

128GB Memory Card Included

The Hikvision C8 is supplied with a 128GB microSD card, allowing the system to be prepared for recording without purchasing storage separately. The camera supports compatible cards between 32GB and 256GB.

Recording time varies according to the selected resolution, the number of active camera channels and whether audio recording is enabled.
